Trojan Boys Volleyball Show Extreme Growth in Games on April 7th-10th

The Trojan Boys Volleyball team has been having an incredible season! This season has consisted of many wins, and few losses. The team has built incredible chemistry and connections with each other, and this is being shown on the court. Between April 7-10th, the Trojans competed in three games. This earned them two wins and one loss.

On Monday, April 7th, The Trojans played the St. John Paul II Lions. This was a home game that was full of fans and lots of energy. This helped the Trojans earn a victory, beating the Lions in a quick 3 sets. This game was full of amazing offense, with the Trojans protecting their serve. There was a total of 28 kills, and a total of 14 aces.  Junior, Micah Morton led the team in kills, with a total of 9. Sophomore Lincoln Powell led the team in aces, with 5! Overall, this was a great game that helped the Trojans earn another W on their record.

On April 9th, the boys had another home game against ALA West Foothills. This was a rough game for the Trojans and the Guardians took the win in 3 sets. Although, the Trojans lost, there were still things that the team executed well. For example, junior Austin Moskop had 4 blocks out of the 5 total team blocks. The Trojans also had a total of 28 digs. Senior Travis Christy led the team with kills, with 6. Will Groen ('25), Micah Morton ('26), and Kaden Haase ('25) all had 5 digs.

Lastly, on April 10th, the Trojans played ALA Ironwood. This was their last game out of the three and it was a success. The Trojans beat the Warriors in 3 sets! This built confidence for the Trojans after just suffering a hard loss the day prior. Will Groen ('25) and Travis Christy ('25) definitely stood out the most in this game. Will had 13 kills and 9 digs. Travis had 12 digs and 10 service receptions.

The Trojans are looking great this year and still have more games to play! Playoffs are looking very promising for the boys! Continue to come out and cheer on the Trojans, during these last few weeks!
