The Valley Christian Trojans have had a remarkably successful boys volleyball season so far! The team has a current record of 11-4. Senior Kaden Haase is leading the team in kills and is crushing it with an average of 8.5 assists per set. Senior Will Groen has been killing it quite literally, averaging 3.9 kills per set and is leading the 3A Conference in kills per set. 

The Trojans had their first playoff game Friday, May 9th against Horizon Honors. The Blue Crew showed up and showed out to support the Trojans. In the first set the Trojans were down 18-24, which means it was game point for Horizon, but Kaden Haase went on an impeccable serving streak and led the team to win the first set. Senior Jose Amancio Ramos shared, "Kaden went on an amazing serving run in the first set and led us to win the game, which shifted the momentum in the right way to the victory." This team has been showing out and representing the Trojans well.  

Senior Will Groen shared his thoughts on this season and playoffs so far, "We are extremely grateful to God and Coach Bob for the opportunity to compete this year, and we believe that we can go all the way."  We are hoping that they can finish strong and pull out their first ever boys volleyball championship in Valley Christian history! 

They are now off to play Benjamin Franklin in the Quarterfinals tonight, May 13th at 6 PM. With a win they will play ALA West Foothills or Gilbert Classical in the Semis on Thursday May 15th at the home of the High Seed.  Make sure you go out and support the Trojans!
