The Trojans played three tough games to start the month April against Gilbert Christian, Florence, and Thatcher, and were victorious in all three, keeping them undefeated on the season.
Gilbert Christian (4/2/25)
The cross-town rivalry matchup between Valley Christian and Gilbert Christian brought many fans to the stands cheering loud for their respective teams. Junior
Jaxen Maxey earned the win for the Trojans propelling them to victory. A couple notable contributors were senior
Andrew Van Egdom with a double down the line and senior
Carson Grier who drove in 2 runs. Valley Christian bested the Knights with a 7-2 victory. The Trojans would go on to face the Florence Gophers in their next game.
Florence (4/3/25)
The Gophers came out hot against the #1 ranked Valley Christian Trojans. Going into the 4
th inning, the Gophers led 4-0, but the Trojans remained calm and collected ready for their moment to change the game. In the bottom of the 4
th inning, the Trojans put 6 runs on the board to take the lead 7-5. Sophomore Ty Paschich earned the win for the Trojans, giving up 2 hits and 2 runs over 3 innings, striking out none and walking one. The boys from Valley Christian showed great resilience, proving they might be down late in a game but never out. They would prepare for their next game against Thatcher.
Thatcher (4/8/25)
The Valley Christian Trojans did not disappoint on April 8
th against the Thatcher Eagles. Senior
Caleb Danzeisen collected 4 hits in 4 at bats with a solo home-run to right field. Junior
Brock Jackson homered as well, scoring three runs. Junior
Devin Morganfield performed a masterclass with a no hitter, striking out 13 batters, while walking one. Pretty much everything came together in this game, preparing the Trojan boys for their next game against Apache Junction.
These three wins kept the Trojans at the top of the leaderboard in their region and conference.
