Another Victory for the Valley Christian Trojans Girls Flag Football Team!!

The Valley Christian girls flag football team had another successful win in their most recent game against Seton Catholic. The final score was 17-0, with the Trojans showing off a stellar defense to back up the offense. It was a close game throughout the first half, however the Trojans took advantage of their opportunities on offense in the second half.

In the first half of the game, the Trojans fell just short of the goal line on more than one possession during the first two periods of the game. On the defensive side, there was a total of three interceptions, tallied by Avery Tarico (11), Rylee Randleman (11), and Ariana Maurer (12). In the first quarter, the Trojans left the field with a 0-0 score on the board. Throughout the second quarter the score remained tied at 0-0, until there was 2 minutes left in the half. Ryann Nelson kicked a field goal at the 22-yard line for three points, finishing the half with the lead and a score of 3-0.

On the offense there were key plays throughout the game that led to the Trojan victory. Rylan Ernst (11) and Rylee Randleman (11) both had multiple successful catches, putting the Trojans in the redzone on a number of drives.
In the second half the Trojans took charge and added 2 touchdowns to the board. Abigail Stipp (12) and Morgen Hackett (12) both had amazing catches in the end zone to give add to the Trojan lead. Ryann Nelson (10) was successful on both extra point attempts after both touchdowns, adding 2 additional points. The game ended with a final score of 17-0.

After the long, hard-fought game, the Trojans were proud to bring home another win for their school. They hope to bring home more wins and continue get better. Senior Charis Barrett shared, "my team hopes to continue to win and bring home two more victories in the last two games of the season". The Valley Christian Trojans are determined to win and continue to grow as the season finishes out.
