The Valley Christian Girls Varsity and JV Basketball teams played their first games of the season Tuesday night against Northwest Christian, both bringing home their first wins of the year.

The JV Trojans played an exciting game with a 38-20 final score.

The Varsity Trojans held the lead the whole game, making a significant gap in the 3rd quarter and keeping it until the end of the game, finishing with a 45-28 score. Michela Barbanente led in offensive and defensive rebounds, as well as blocks, and putbacks. Josie Bagley led in assists and steals, in addition to being  the highest scorer of the game, earning 17 points for the team.

Both JV and Varsity Trojans played a great game against Northwest Christian, earning their ranking at second in the region.
