The Trojan Beach Volleyball team entered that last few games of their season with some of the toughest competitions they have played, but they were ready to fight! They had three games left in the regular season and these games were all back to back being Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, April 14
th, 15
th, and 16
th.
On Monday, April 14
th , the Trojans headed out to Gilbert Christian to face off against the Knights. The Knights were ranked #1 and it was going to be some tough competition. The Trojans fought hard but ended up coming short losing this game 4-1. Seniors
Morgen Hackett and
Bella Burrus took them to 3 sets and won at the 5's pair. These two played an outstanding game and have built lots of chemistry this season. Morgen shared, "It was a battle from start to finish. We stayed locked in and fought for every point! It wasn't easy, but that's what makes it worth it!"
Next the girls went on to face Seton Catholic on Tuesday, April 15
th. It was going to be a close game with good competition as well. The Trojans were ranked #14 and the Sentinels were ranked #13. It was a close game and the Lady Trojans ended up winning this game 3-2. The 5's, 4's, and 2's pair pulled through for the team, helping them get the win. Winning this game helped the team's ranking and bumped them up a ranking from 14 to 13, which would help them going into playoffs.
The Beach team went into their last game of the regular season on April 16
th against Rancho Solano Prep and it was at home. The team took the victory and won this game 4-1. The 5's through 2's pairs all won their sets in two games. The 1's pair came up short, but worked hard and were glad they were able to win this game as a team. The girls were super excited to win their last game and were looking forward to heading into playoffs.
