Beach Volleyball goes 6-2 to start the season

The Trojan Beach volleyball team has had a great start to the 2025 season with a record of 6-2. In the month of March the girls have played a total of 6 games and have only lost 2. On the 16th of March the Trojans had their 3rd game of the season against Mesquite High School. It was an away game, and Valley Christian came out victorious with a 3-2 win. The 1's and 2's pairs made up of, Haydyn Gerard / Emma Smith and Makenna Bizzack / Elyse Wolf, both lost, but each team put up a good fight against good competition.  

That Wednesday on the 19th,th the beach team faced off against Fountain Hills away. The Trojans beat the Falcons with an overall score of 3-2. The girls had to battle through the heat with the weather being 97 that day. Elyse Davis and Taylor Miser won their tough match in three sets. March 20th, the next day, the Trojans played against a rival team, Northwest Christian. The Trojans put up a hard fight against them but lost with a score of 2-3. Northwest has a great team and has a good overall record of 6-1.  

The next week the girls had two2 more games. On March 24th the Trojans played against Veritas Prep and won with a 4-1 score.  All pairs were proud of their outcome, and they succeeded in pulling out another win.  On March 26th there was a home game against Payson High School again winning with a score of 4-1.  Payson put up a good fight, but the girls played harder and came out stronger. 

March 31st the Trojans lost to Horizon Honors with a record of 2-3.  Seniors Taylor Miser and Jasmine Garcia kept playing hard and had great energy as a pair. They played their best and won. Overall, the pairs tried to keep their rhythm and tried their hardest. 

Junior Haydyn Gerard says this about the season so far, "This season has been so fun! The talent of the team is spread out and I am super proud of the effort and hard work the team has put into our games. I am looking forward to hopefully make it far in playoffs." 

The Trojans have battled hard this season. Make sure to come out and watch games the rest of the season. Go support the senior girls on April 11th for senior night. They will be playing Crimsmon High School.
