Valley Christian once again, has made it to state, this time they have better strategies, faster swimmers, and the power of God to keep them safe. They have two meets on Friday and Saturday. On Friday, it's the individual event where a single swimmer will compete against others, doing that same event. Saturday are the relays; a group of the best swimmer will go up against swimmers who are in the same time frame as them.

Brayden Stuber is swimming the 100 Breaststroke, and his state time is a stupendous time of 1:11.27. He says "I am most excited to compete in state individually for 100 breast, but at the same time I am nervous that I won't compete well." The team has full confidence in him that he will do amazing. He also says, "I have confidence for Friday, because I am swimming in relays, but I hope that I make top 20 for 100 breast so that I can compete the second day."

Liam Haake has made it to Friday's meet in not one, but two events. He is competing in 100 Butterfly with a time of 1:09.25, which is amazing. Liam has also made it into the 500 Freestyle and his time for that is 6:20.16, which in fact is fast compared to some others. Liam says "For the swim state, I am nervous because this is my first time swimming in state for individual events and I hope to PR for both. I am excited for going to both days and hopefully doing well during the meet." It's outstanding that a great swimmer like Liam, is swimming in individuals for the first time.

While the girls did not make it into any individuals, they made it into not one, but two relays. In these relays are Marissa Raber, Abby Husa, Emili King, and Ella Boehler. These are going to be some amazing events, and they are extremely excited, and nervous. Emili King says, "I am excited to race at state because I have done it before and its really fun"

These swimmers have been waiting for this moment since the beginning of the season. Each dual meet, every invitational, has been preparing them for this moment. They are very excited and are ready to crush the competition.

The team has had some amazing swimmers that show the love of God, they are always super nice and keep the team alive. However, this is Brayden Stuber's last few meets before he graduates. He has shown the love of God, while still being super fun to be around. He has had such a good attitude about being the only senior on the team.

Which brings us to what is next for the team, which is not much, but they are so happy that they have made so many fun memories on the swim team. Now that the season is coming to an end, so many of the swimmers are doing other sports so they can keep in shape for swim, next year.
