The Trojans girls basketball team has been busy the last week and half, playing a total of 5 games in 10 days and going 5-0!  

Last Wednesday, January 18th, the girls took on ALA Anthem South and racked up a huge win of 54 to 3. They then went on to play a closer game against ALA Ironwood on Saturday night and came out on top with a 46-31 win.   

They went on to play Scottsdale Christian Academy at home this last Wednesday had a neck and neck battle. The Trojans jumped out to a 10 point lead to go into halftime 28-18. The third quarter was a defensive battle and the girls held on to their lead 32-27 going into the third quarter. After some back and forth play, the Trojans held on to their lead and came out on top 39-34. Freshman Ellie Phillips led with 13 points and junior Gracie Miraglia chipped in 8.   

Friday was a busy day for the entire basketball program at the Bradley Gym with Frosh boys and JV and Varsity boys and girls playing against Benjamin Franklin. The gym was packed with supportive fans and the girls came out ready to win. The girls came out with a strong lead, going into halftime up 22-14. They held on in the second half, finishing 51-22 over the Chargers.  

The most recent game was at home against San Tan Foothills, where the girls came out on top 54-19, finishing their 5-game win streak. This game was also senior night, where the two girls basketball seniors, Abbey Mello and Sophia Moron, were honored and celebrated. These girls have poured a lot of time and energy into the girls basketball program and have made a huge impact on Trojan basketball.
