The Valley Christian softball team brought yet another victory home and now have a perfect record of 7-0 on the season. In the most recent game, the Trojans claimed victory over Thatcher, leaving the field with a 14-3 score. The team came out strong, and the Trojans continue to maintain dominance over the teams they play, and challenges they face.

Pitching a tight game and letting few reach the bases was sophomore Leigha Kremlacek. Through the first 4 innings Leigha pitched a shutout, allowing no runs scored and only let up a total of 5 hits throughout the game. Leigha stated, "I felt very confident going into this game knowing that I was going to do well, and my defense was going to back me up." The Trojans held up a strong defense, all while producing on the offensive side.

On offense the team together had an on base percentage of .536, meaning that over 50 percent of hits would allow batters to reach base. The leaders in hitting were MiriLou Diffey, Adysen Balzer, Taya Clausen, Ryann Nelson, and Lo Colvin, batting 1.000. In the game sophomore Ryann Nelson hit a solo homer to lead off the 3rd inning. This kick started the inning, allowing for 9 runs to be scored.

In the upcoming game the Valley Christian Trojans will play Snowflake, who is currently ranked 6th and has a record of 7-0-2 in the conference. The Trojan softball team hopes to bring home another win against the Snowflake Lobos. Junior leader Abrielle Jarles says, "We're excited to get to play one of the better teams in the conference. We definitely have something to prove, so we are looking forward to playing some better competition." The Valley Christian Trojans will continue to compete and challenge other teams as the season progresses.

Make sure to come out and cheer on the team!
