4/29/2026 8:56:00 AM

Coming off a dominant 2025 season with a 25-3-1 record and a third consecutive region title, the Valley Christian High School (VCHS) Trojans continue to assert themselves as a softball powerhouse in Arizona's 3A Central Region. Led by senior captains Abrielle Jarles and Sophie Kercsmar, the 2026 team aims to build on this legacy of excellence with a focus on faith-based unity and competitive dominance.

The Lady Trojans continue to strive for excellence go on another 3-game win streak beating Snowflake, Globe and Seton Catholic.

We asked Amelia Bowman what she was most optimistic about for the rest of the season and she mentioned, "Looking ahead, I'm beyond ready to battle the best teams in the state. We've spent countless hours in the dirt and the weight room, putting in the kind of relentless effort that most people never see. Every practice and every extra rep have been for one goal proving that we don't just belong on that stage we earned it.The blowouts were a statement, but the comeback against Cienega showed our true character. We have a lineup that never quits and a bond that can't be broken. We've done the work, we have the talent, and now we're ready to prove to everyone that we are the ones who deserve that state title".

April 14th the Valley Christian Softball team traveled to the #1 Ranked home of the Seton Catholic Sentinels. They would leave there beating them 11-0 in a run rule in the 5th inning.

Behind the hitting of Makena Blauman and Leigha Kremlacek who both hit 1.000 and totaled together 4 RBi's, 5 runs scored, 1 home run (Blauman) and 2 doubles (Kremlacek) they took down the 17-0 Sentinels. Other huge contributors were freshman Syd Diehl who hit .667, and Ryann Nelson and Maddy Harmon who hit .500 for the night. Also, on the mound Leigha threw 5 dynamic innings striking out 7, walking 1 and giving up no runs during the contest.

We asked Abrielle Jarles what the most challenging team the Trojans have faced so far, and she said, "I think we will have some close games with some teams especially rivalry games, but in all honesty our biggest competition is ourselves. We have the talent to get where we want to go, we have to stay focused and put the work in to get there."

The Lady Trojans continue to push forward winning tough games with the joy of the lord. Valley Christian softball is establishing themselves as a 3A Central powerhouse, driven by a high-powered offense and a deep, disciplined roster. With a strong 2026 record and a focus on championship culture, the Trojans are firmly positioned for a deep postseason run.
