The Boy's Wrestling team had a great set of matches last Friday, Dec 5th through Saturday Dec 6th, pinning down the competition with resilient prowess. The team has already had one match at Santa Cruz Valley Union, which came with a not so welcome outcome. However, this downturn led to an advancement in the boy's fight, having remarkable success at Tempe Prep.
Some highlights from the event include:
- Spencer Cross (So.) on the fastest pin in the tournament with 7 seconds
- JuanErnesto Alvarez (Sr.) and Spencer Cross (So.) going undefeated
- As a team the boys came in 4th place.
When we asked
Ryland Ross (Jr.) how he felt about the tournament he said "I would say that it went very well for our first tournament of the season. Everybody on our team who wrestled medaled and wrestled well in the tournament. I'm really excited to see how our team performs throughout this season."
JuanErnesto Alvarez (Sr.) was happy with the tournament outcome, and he said, "The Tournament on Friday and Saturday went good."
Overall, the Trojan boys are fighting on the road to victory. The Trojan horse is at the gate, and there is no slowing down this formidable force.
