On Wednesday, December 4th, the Lady Trojans faced off against the Kingman Bulldogs. After coming off a strong 7 -2 win against the Florence Gophers, the Trojans were looking to extend their winning streak coming into this game. The Trojans finished the game early, with an 11-1 score at the mercy rule time of sixty minutes. 

The game started with the Trojans taking an early 1-0 lead; however, the Bulldogs quickly came back and put up a tally on the board, making the score 1-1. Although they started the beginning of the first half a little rocky, the Trojans were up 8-1 at halftime with the first half goals coming from senior Abigail Stipp, junior Sydney Paschich, junior Baylee Horvath, sophomore Tatum Mitchell, sophomore Raegan Randleman, and freshman Bella Macedo. The Bulldogs goalie scored an own goal after a hard shot from junior Brielle Hunsaker, who kicked a free kick. 

After halftime, the coaches decided to make an interesting change in the lineup, starting center backs Rylan Ernst (11) and Libby Juist (12) as forwards. The previous forwards, Abigail Stipp and Layla Heller, dropped to defense and midfield to take the place of the center backs. As the game commenced, junior Rylan Ernst scored off a beautiful corner that was kicked from Sydney Paschich. After the defender scored, the Bulldogs changed their goalie in hopes of a different outcome. However, the remaining two goals from that half came from Sydney Paschich and sophomore Maddie Lewis. 

After such an amazing shut out, the Lady Trojans celebrated with a victory photo and are looking forward to the annual Battle of Ironwood tournament that they are to take part in from December 5th through December 7th. After achieving runner up at last year's tournament, the Trojans are hopeful for what is to come at the end of their busy week.
