Rocket League Continues to Dominate in their Games

3/1/2023 4:33:00 PM

The Rocket League Esports team is making waves in the gaming world with their impressive skills and team dynamics. With two solid teams in their division, the players are confident that they will make it to the playoffs. Junior Ryan Bastic, one of the team members, is confident that they will make it to the playoffs and has emphasized that the team connection is very strong.

The team has an excellent coach who offers 1v1 training to players to help them hone in on their skills. The coach also analyzes game replays and creates drills based on player weaknesses to help them improve their gameplay. The players understand that the time they feel like stopping playing is the time when they should keep going.

The team plays a lot outside of school to build their connection, which is evident in their excellent teamwork. Sophomore Sam Odom says, "this is the greatest team I have ever been a part of". Esports Rocket League in Arizona is divided into four competition groups, the Trojans are in Group D. Within Group D, they are one of only three undefeated teams.

It's worth noting that the Rocket League Esports team's success isn't just limited to their undefeated record within their competition group. Their wins have been dominant, with all of their victories coming by either 3-0 sweeps or by the opposing team forfeiting the match. This speaks to the team's skill and consistency, as well as their ability to maintain focus and close out matches efficiently. It's clear that this team has put in a lot of hard work and effort to achieve their current success, and they will undoubtedly continue to strive for excellence in their future games.

Ryan, the team's unanimous captain, believes in teamwork and doesn't identify himself as team captain. Ryan says, "We rise as a team and we fall as a team; our foundation is not on one pillar, but many". The team has set goals to remain undefeated and improve their communication skills before the playoffs. Ryan's individual goal is to put in more time and keep grinding the game. He believes that playing the guitar has helped him play more consistently, thanks to the finger dexterity he has developed.

Esports Head Coach Jon Hunsaker is impressed with the group's growth and teamwork. He believes that this team is the most talented that Valley has had in esports, not just mechanically, but also in team play. Coach Hunsaker is encouraged by the team's pursuit of Jesus and how they live out everything they learn in devotionals.

In conclusion, the Rocket League Esports team is an impressive group of players who are determined to succeed. Their teamwork, dedication, and skill are a testament to their hard work and commitment to the game. With the guidance of their coaches, Jon Hunsaker and Head Rocket League Coach Jayce Maxwell, the team is sure to continue growing and improving, both individually and as a team, and may even achieve their goal of winning the state championship.
