This is a big week for the Valley Christian Volleyball girls! They start off the week by playing the Gilbert Christian Knights, one of their biggest rivals THIS Tuesday, September 27th. Make sure to be there in Victory blue to cheer on the volleyball girls and bring home the win. The team would love the BLUE CREW to be there to support all three teams. Games are at 4, 5, and 6 PM. 

Going into this game, Coach Trathen emphasized, "…this is just another game, but there is a rivalry between the two schools." He mentions that he has previously coached a lot of the girls on the Knights' Volleyball team and as they are seniors, it will be exciting to see and play them again. He adds, "I care about those kids but I know I want to beat them. It will be a good balance, but of course we want to win with dignity and honor, but also make sure we beat them." 

When asked what makes Gilbert Christian and Valley rivals, Coach T adds, "They are our crosstown rivals. We're both Christian schools, We're both in the East valley. Their team set out to beat us in a set last year and did. So naturally, we have competition with them in that way because of where we stand with them and them being so close to us."
