Trojan Girls Soccer Shuts Out Madison Highland Prep, Prepares for Bourgade Before Christmas Break

12/9/2022 5:20:00 PM

The Trojan girls soccer team has started strong this season. They are coming off their ALA Ironwood tournament with a 5-1 record and went into their first week of region play ready to go.

The Trojans hosted their first home game of the season this past Wednesday, December 6th, against Madison Highland Prep and completely dominated. The final score was 6-0; this was the Trojans second and highest scoring shutout of the season. Goals were scored by senior Breanna Taylor, with her first goal of the season, sophomore Peyton Shoffner with an amazing header, and finishing off the game Abigail Stipp came in hot with a total of four goals. This was an excellent start for the Trojans in their first region game of the season and we can't wait to see how they will continue to play this year.

The final soccer game before Christmas break is an away game on Monday, December 12th at 5 PM against Bourgade Catholic. The team is excited to continue working together and showing their competitiveness on and off the field. Senior Victoria Clark mentions, "for our first game, we played well and I'm excited to see how we will grow not only as a team, but as a family."

Following the Bourgade game the girls soccer team will have a nice break over Christmas until they begin to prepare for their away game against Pusch Ridge on Tuesday, January 3rd.

Make sure to support our Trojan girls soccer team as they play this Christmas break!
