Trojan Volleyball ended the regular season last week with a sweep against the visiting Knights of ACP. Frosh won in 2 sets, JV won 2-1 and Varsity won 3-0 (25-9, 25-10, 25-20). Kate Phillips led the Lady Trojans with 13 kills and Korah Nordin and Cara Braun added an additional 12 kills each. Kelsey Brooks served 5 aces and Madison Brown-McAlpine assisted in 31 of the Lady Trojan's plays.
The 3A State tournament will begin this week with play-in matches to determine positions 9-16 for the 16 team bracket scheduled to start on Saturday November 6th. The Lady Trojans will most likely be the number 2 seed in the tournament, out ranked only by the Lobos of Snowflake who will likely be named the number 1 seed.
The state tournament brackets, along with the top 8, will be revealed during the Live Bracket Show beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 3rd.
