The Valley Christian Boys Soccer team has had an amazing start to their season with winning 9 out of their 12 games they have played so far. They are currently the 3rd best team in the 3A conference. The Trojan boy's soccer team has shown themselves as formidable opponents and they will be hard to beat. The Trojans have a dominant offense with many high score victories.
When asked about how the team is performing and how they are improving to give themselves the best chance at state Brayden Waggoner (Sr) said, "so far, our soccer season has been going really well, and the team has shown a lot of growth since the beginning. Our chemistry is strong, communication on the field has improved, and we are working together better each game."
The Trojans played in the Bodie Tourney and had 2 victories and 1 loss. The Trojans beat the Flagstaff Eagles with a score of 3-1. Player of the Match went to Nico Garcia as he showed a dominant offensive performance. Nico Garcia (Sr) made 2 of the 3 goals this match. The Trojans then played against the Douglas Bulldogs and won with a score 2-1. In this match Brayden Waggoner (Sr) was selected for player of the match with an impressive 2 goals this match. The Trojans finished the tournament against the Red Mountain Lions. The Trojans unfortunately lost this match, but they learned lots from it.
The Trojans then went to Seton Catholic to play against their soccer team. The Trojans walked in and left with a close win with a score of 5-4. Brayden Waggoner (Sr) was selected for player of the match with 3 goals.
The Trojans played against the Tonopah Valley Phoenix at home. The Trojans dominated the whole match winning with a score 6-0.
Overall, the Trojan Boys Soccer Team has had a great start to their season and will be working together everyday to become the best.
