The Valley Christian boys soccer team finished the regular season strong, going 2-1 in their last three games and securing a home playoff spot. They finished out the season losing to Odyssey Institute and then winning against Page and Bourgade Catholic.

On Wednesday, January 29^th, the boys lost a close one to Odyssey Institute at home. The final score was 2-4. Some standout performances were Elijah Mims ('27) and Sam Odom ('25), as they each notched one goal and one assist.

The next game was on Friday, January 31^st at Page, where they won 11-0. Elijah Mims had three goals, Micah Guelich ('27) had two goals, Michael Stipp ('27) had two goals, and Jose Amancio Ramos ('25), Ryan Henderson ('25), Sam Odom and Gabe Stipp ('28) all scored one goal each. This was a big confidence booster for the team, as this was the most goals they had scored in a game this season so far.

On Tuesday, February 4^th, they played the final game of the regular season against Bourgade Catholic. This was also senior night, so they took time to recognize the seniors who have put so much hard work into playing this sport. The Trojans beat Bourgade Catholic 3-1. This was a good defensive game for the Trojans, and their offense showed up big for three goals. The goals came from Will Groen ('25), Jose Amancio Ramos, and Elijah Mims. Additionally, the assists came from Micah Guelich, Ryan Henderson, and Sam Odom.

When asked about the game, junior Dhillon Malmin said, "With our passion we were able to overcome a top 5 team in our division. It was a great win because we needed it to secure a home playoff spot, and it was especially great because it was senior night. It was an amazing win for the team, and we will go strong into our playoff game next week."

Reflecting on senior night, Will Groen said, "It was incredible to see all of our classmates and alumni in the stands, there for us. We were really grateful to be able to give back to the school and get a win on senior night."

The Trojans' first playoff game is against Odyssey Institute on February 11^th at 6:00 PM. Make sure to show out and support the Trojans!
