On Thursday, January 23
rd , Valley Christian suffered a minor setback with a score of 0-2 against Northwest Christian. Even though this was a disappointing loss, the Crusaders are currently ranked 2
nd in the state and are an exceedingly difficult opponent to go up against. They have a season record of 7-3, which is slightly better than the Trojans' 6-3 record. Even though this was a defeat, it brought up the team's hopes for getting closer to winning state.
Elijah Mims reflected, "Even though we lost, I say we put up a good fight and had great defensive and offensive plays that kept the opponents at a standstill."
After these last couple of matches, the boys have gotten closer to becoming a better team and are preparing to win the long-fought battle for state. Currently the team is ranked 7
th out of 31 teams in the 3A division. This is a very good direction for the Trojans.
Let's make sure to go out and support the Valley Christian Trojans.
