Game 10 Recap - Benjamin Franklin Recap

11/10/2024 3:40:00 PM

On November 1st  the Trojan football team finished their regular season by playing the top seeded team, the Benjamin Franklin Chargers. Despite the Trojans 4-5 record going into this game, this was a hard-fought game that highlighted the team's impressive skills on both sides of the ball.

Trojan defense had an outstanding performance with Hudson Picket (11) leading the team with five solo tackles, Kristian Schoenhals (11) contributing with four tackles, and senior Luke Snyder securing an interception. Then Trojans' hard work and effort on defense showed as they worked hard to contain the Chargers offense and ultimately kept the Trojans in the game early.

On the offensive side, the Trojans also excelled with their efforts. Ethan Gomez (12), Asher Hanzal (11), Caleb Goldman (11) and Austin Schuder (10) all had touchdowns. Ethan Gomez (12) in particular was a standout as he stepped up to fill the quarterback position after the starting quarterback was injured. Gomez (12) would display his versatility even more throwing a touchdown pass to Asher Hanzal (11). Gomez also stepped up this season to kick for the Trojans, truly being the definition of an all-around player.

Throughout the game, the Trojans left everything on the field. They highlighted their teamwork, talent, and spirit against the Chargers. Although the final score did not reflect the Trojan effort, ending 28-49, the night was a testament to their hard work and dedication throughout the season. Despite the loss Trojan fans were able to leave with encouragement and eager to see what next year holds.
