Trojans Dominate the Warriors

11/5/2025 8:41:00 AM

On Friday October 31, the Trojans faced off against the Warriors. The final score ended up in a victory for the Valley Christian Trojans 49-20. This led the Trojans record to be 9-1 and was their fourth consecutive win. This outcome was due to the Trojans' ability to outscore their opponent in every quarter. The game was decided by the third quarter when the Trojans were up to a 28-point lead, and the Warriors just couldn't keep up.

Valley Christian's offense delivered with quarterback Austin Schuder having 354 yards and his career high with seven touchdowns. He also had 51 rushing yards to add on top of that. Another key contributor to the win was running back, Caleb Goldman. He had a total of 120 yards and a touchdown. This dominance that was displayed in every quarter by the Trojans was too much for Ironwood to handle.

Despite the loss, which was ALA's fifth consecutive in a row and made their record 2-8, they had a key player that stood out. His name is Shawn Hinchcliff and he put up an amazing effort with 167 yards with two touchdowns on 15 carries. He even had a great 70-yard run but despite his efforts it was not enough to overcome Valley's strong overall team.

Valley Christian is hoping to win the championship as they are going into the first playoff game on Friday, November 7.

The Trojans are going against Sabino, and the last time these teams faced it was close game with the final score being 18-14 with the Trojans winning.

When Senior Hudson Pickett was asked what he thinks he can do differently as a leader in the Sabino rematch game he said, "In a leadership position myself and the captains are looking to motivate the team to not look past this opponent because they are a good team and making sure we are giving 100 percent effort in all that we do so our season will continue past this week."

The Trojans are excited for the playoffs, and they are entering as the number 2 seed the 3A division. The home game is a highly anticpated win at Benson Field this Friday at 7pm.
