In this thrilling week 6 matchup, the 4-1 Paradise Honors Panthers will play the 5-0 Valley Christian Trojans. Both teams are well respected and are top 3A teams looking for deep playoff runs. This game is huge and very impactful for playoff rankings in the future. Both teams are going to bring their all trying to show 3A who the better team truly is.
Last week Valley Christian beat Scottsdale Christian 37-28. The Trojans are hoping to ride that win with confidence coming into this even bigger game. Valley Christian hopes to prove this week that they are not to be looked past and seen as a true state champion contender this year.
Senior Lineman AJ Zvada says, "we are feeling good coming off last week's game. We did have some things to fix but I feel like we have fixed those things at practice this week and are prepared and ready for this game."
Paradise Honor's Quarterback Gage Baker is coming off an amazing performance last week against Show Low High School, throwing for 546 yards and 10 touchdowns. The Trojans have been trying all week to stop the pass and prevent another performance like the Panthers had last week.
Senior Quarter Back Gunnar Link says, "this is a very important game because it heavily effects the seeding for the playoffs and shows the whole 3A division that we are no just a bunch of gnats."
Senior Blue Crew leader, Jake Harrison, reflected about how the Blue Crew "We are going to bring the energy and keep the juices flowing with are loud words of encouragement to keep are players optimistic."
