This coming Saturday the Valley Christian Trojans will travel up to Flagstaff to face off against the ACP Knights at the NAU sky-dome. This is an exciting venue for the Trojans to play in as it's an indoor facility with a roof that covers 6.2 acres and is 142 feet above the playing surface. The last time our Trojans played in this dome was three years ago against Chino Valley. In that matchup, they came out victorious and are working hard in preparation to come out on top again this year.
When asked how he was feeling about the upcoming game, Senior
Cade Accomazzo, Valley's defensive back, responded, "I'm excited to play ACP this year because between the last two years the record between our schools has been 1-1. I'm looking forward to seeing who breaks the tie. It's gonna be a dog fight!"
The Trojans are hoping for a big turn out of fans to support and encourage them in this big game on the road. They are aiming to replicate and apply the same intensity they've had this whole week of practice leading up to the game. The team's intent is to keep an aggressive tempo from kickoff to the last whistle.
In the last year the ACP Knights have grown as a school and moved out of our division to 4A. The rivalry between our schools has grown the anticipation for this Saturday's game. In regard to the rivalry, senior linebacker,
Jackson Fuller, said, "Since they moved up from 3A to 4A its their last shot at us and we are gonna take this opportunity to keep our lead strong. We're gonna come out with everything we have."
Come support the Valley Trojans in their face off against the ACP Knights at NAU on Saturday, September 3
