On Tuesday, December 6th, the Trojans traveled to Queen Creek and played the Benjamin Franklin Chargers. The Trojans are coming off a big 81-79 win over 6a Colorado powerhouse Regis Jesuit. The Trojans are riding the momentum and still are undefeated.
The 2-3 Chargers put up a good fight, but the Trojans high scoring offense was too much to handle for the Chargers. The Trojans started out fast and built a good lead early in the game which they never really lost. The Trojans never slowed down and won another dominating victory over a good Benjamin Franklin team. The final score of the game was 86-46.
The Trojans went on to play in their Pepsi Holiday Tournament two days later, where they are continuing to ride their momentum. They beat Coconino 83-34, and then they beat Northland Prep 76-34. The next day the Trojans played one game against Arizona Lutheran which they won 70-44. A key player for the Trojans, Luke Shaw, got injured during the tournament, which made it a lot harder for the Trojans. The next day the Trojans lost to a good team from California, Vista Murrieta, 42-60. They then played Coconino again and won 64-51.
After the tournament, Valley Christian will be on Christmas break, but the boys still have two games on the 16th and the 17th. The first is a home game against Arapahoe, a high ranking team from Colorado. The day after that they play at Pusch Ridge. After these two games the Trojans can enjoy their Christmas Break and won't return to the court until January 3rd against Rancho Solano Prep at home.
