The Trojans snapped an 11 year streak of losing to Northwest Christian on Friday with a final score of 42-28. The game was neck and neck the whole way through and some top performers included quarterback Hunter Heeringa who had 268 all purpose yards and 5 total touchdowns. Kaden Majercak rushed for 195 yards and 1 touchdown, but the real story lies in the 4th quarter.  

The quarter started tied 28-28 and began with a long drive ending with a 1 yard rushing touchdown for Hunter Heeringa. The play of the game came with 6:00 left on the clock where junior Ethan Heinrich picked off Northwest giving the ball back to the Trojans. Majercak put the nail in the coffin with a rushing touchdown, giving Valley Christian the 2 possession lead and ultimately the victory over their 4a opponent.  

This Thursday Valley plays the 1st of their next 3 straight away games at Wickenberg.
