Coach Moorhead was born in Des Moines, Iowa, but has lived in Arizona since 1961. He attended Arcadia High School, graduating in 1976, and went on to earn a four year degree at Arizona State University.
He has approximately 20 years of coaching experience, starting with his own kids in Little League all the way up to Varsity baseball at the high school level.
He is married and has two boys who graduated from Valley Christian. His oldest son, Austin, is a guitar musician in Nashville, and his younger son, Dallas, has two kids and works for Norweigan Cruise Lines in Chandler.
Outside of coaching Coach Moorhead has been working for a security company in the Valley, protecting very high end homes, for the last 50 years. He enjoys traveling and playing guitar - music runs in the family!
