Coach Brooks grew up in Oklahoma, where he attended Southmoore High School ('11). He went on to play football at Wheaton College ('15), where he was a four year letterman at outside linebacker and earned Special Teams Player of the Year honors.
Coach Brooks went on to earn a J.D. at Arizona State College of Law and now serves as a City Prosecutor for the City of Mesa.
He spent two years as the OLB Coach and Freshman Defensive Coordinator at Southmoore High School (Moore, OK), where he coached two Division I Outside Linebackers, each of which were All-State and made it to the second round of the OK Class 6A playoffs. He then went on to coach the Safeties/OLBs and was the JV Head Coach at Scottsdale Christian Academy (Scottsdale, AZ), where all three of their safeties earned All-State honors and reached the AZ 2A State Semifinals. He also had a brief stint at Stephen F. Austin University (Nacodoches, TX) as the OLB Assistant Coach.
Coach Brooks is now entering his second year coaching at Valley Christian Schools (Chandler, AZ) where he helped the team reach the AZ 3A State Semifinals and coached three All-Conference LB's.
Outside of football, Coach Brooks loves playing with his dog "Jim", who is a Saluki-Collie Mix.
Coach Brooks shared, "I love winning and demonstrating Christ's glory through dominating other teams in football."
