Taylor graduated from Hamilton High School, where she swam competitively all four years. Additionally, she was a member of Phoenix Swim Club, where she trained alongside her brothers (who will both be coaching with her this year). Coach Taylor says, "Swimming was the highlight of my high school experience and remains a passion of mine".
After high school, Taylor completed two years at community college and she is now pursuing a degree in Elementary and Special Education. Since January, she has been coaching for a club swim team, an experience that has deepened her love for the sport and her desire to help others achieve their goals.
Coach Taylor shared, "I am thrilled to be coaching at Valley, a place with strong family ties—my mom is a graduate, and my youngest brother, Micah, is currently a sophomore. My goal as a coach is to not only guide swimmers toward their personal bests but also to show them a love for the sport, just as my coaches did for me. I also strive to incorporate values of faith in my coaching, teaching athletes to balance their physical, mental, and spiritual growth."
Outside of coaching, Taylor enjoys working with children, helping them learn new skills, and spending time outdoors, whether it’s wake surfing at the lake or going to the sand dunes. Taylor is looking forward to sharing her enthusiasm for swimming and helping others find joy in the sport.
