Coach K grew up in Sioux Center, Iowa. He attended Dordt University where he majored in Secondary Education, and American/World History. While attending Dordt, he was a member of the golf team and coached/reffed for a local Junior High, (Basketball, Track and Field, Soccer) as well as helped Dordt’s Men’s JV and Women’s Varsity Basketball teams as a scout team member. After finishing his degree he moved briefly to Michigan to teach Junior High History and Bible before taking a job as Valley Christian’s World History teacher.
Coach K began coaching basketball and junior high golf his first year at Valley (2020) and continues to work on impacting student athlete’s both in the classroom and on the court/course. He loves playing basketball and golfing and has a desire to continue to instill the love of those sports into other athletes!
