Landyn Lovelady was born and raised in Tacoma, Washington in a basketball-oriented household. Her dad, head coach Mark Lovelady, was a basketball coach her whole life and her mom played collegiate basketball as well. Landyn attended Life Christian Academy in Tacoma from kindergarten through sophomore year before moving to Arizona, where she attended Gilbert Christian High School. At GCS Landyn played basketball, soccer, and ran track, bringing home a state title in soccer. After high school she attended Ottawa University, where she continued her athletic career in both basketball and track. After graduating in December 2023 with her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration she went on to work for Cloud9 Sports, an apparel company, as their newest sales rep in Arizona. Landyn is excited to enter her first year as a coach at Valley Christian. She shared, "I have a big passion for not only basketball, but for helping young women grow outside of just their athletic abilities."
