Bio:
Coach Allen is entering his seventh season as head coach with the Trojan Girls Basketball Program at Valley Christian High School. Coach Allen’s overall record at Valley is 112 - 53.
Program Highlights:
3A Metro Region Champions (2017, 2021), 3A Metro Region Coach of the Year (2018, 2021) Desert Classic Champions (2017), Shadow Mountain Classic Champions (2018), San Diego Classic Champions (2019). Allen has guided the Lady Trojans to the AIA State Tournament four of the last five years.
Prior Coaching Experience:
In 2016-2017 Coach Allen spent one season as an assistant coach helping Skyline Prep’s Boys Basketball Team win the 2017 CAA State Championship. He spent two years as the girls varsity assistant coach under Scott Timmer during the 2009-2010 seasons, in which the Trojans captured their first State Championship in 2010. In addition, Coach Allen spent 4 seasons as the assistant coach for the Fergus Falls (MN) Community College Womens Basketball Team. During his tenure as assistant coach, the Lady Spartans appeared in two MCAC State Tournaments (2006, 2007) winning the state championship in 2007. The team went on and lost in the final minute of the MCAC Regional Championship that would have led the Lady Spartans to compete in the 2007 Division III National Tournament. They claimed one Northern Conference Championship in 2007. In 2008 Coach Allen was the assistant coach for the Concordia College (MN) Womens Basketball Program, which reached the state tournament and finished 4th. Coach Allen was the head coach at Pine Island High School (MN) from 2001-2005 where his girls teams compiled an overall record of 44-30. In 2004 the Lady Panthers captured the ZM Showcase Championship. In Minnesota Coach Allen also coached AAU for 6 years, compiling a record of 52-18 and winning four tournament championships.
Personal Information:
Coach Allen is also the Vice Principal Victory Autism Academy. Kevin and his wife, Kelly, live in Chandler, AZ, with their children Ezekiel, Emilia, and Cade. In their spare time, they enjoy hiking, traveling, attending sporting events, and being involved in their church.
