Blake Silves is launching into his first year serving as Junior High Athletic Director/Physical Education teacher at Valley Christian. He was born and raised in Lynden, Washington and feels blessed to have a supportive family that nurtured his love for Christ as well as sports, especially basketball. Before graduating from Lynden in 2019, Silves played in 4 final fours and won back-to-back state championships in basketball. Over the summer, he travels across the United States with PGC as a director of basketball sessions to inspire and equip athletes and coaches to think the game, be a leader, and run the show. In 2023, Blake graduated from Grand Canyon University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education.
Blake Silves has been involved with Valley Christian athletics over the past couple years with the opportunity to be an assistant basketball coach of the freshman team as well as coaching basketball at the Junior High. He believes that faith in Jesus Christ is the foundation in which we serve to help youth grow athletically and spiritually to become “culture changers for Jesus Christ”.
