Scott Timmer is currently the Department Chair for the Health and Wellness Department as well as the Assistant Capital Campaign Director at Valley Christian Schools. Timmer began his coaching career in 1985, joining the coaching staff of the girls basketball program at Valley Christian in 1997. After winning his third state championship Coach Timmer retired in 2017 with over 500 wins - a coaching legend in the Valley. Timmer has coached several sports, but for 20 years poured all of his heart and passion into the girls basketball program. Last year he returned to coaching as the Head Freshman Boys Basketball Coach.

Timmer expressed, “The most important part of my resume is that I love Jesus and have been transformed by His death and resurrection. My love for God and His work through me allows me to lead these young men on the court and guide them to live for Jesus and know Him as their personal Savior. I have been coaching sports for over 30 years and I still enjoy practices the most. I am so glad that God is still allowing me to use my talents at Valley Christian Schools with these young men.”
