Coach Keeler grew up in Omaha, Nebraska, where he played high school football. He went on to play college football at the University of Nebraska from 1984-1989. 

Coach Keeler began coaching at VC in 2020 and coached youth football prior to that in 2012-2019. 

He has been married to Kelly Keeler for 35 years and has a son, Cal, who recently graduated from VCS and will be playing football at TCU as a long snapper.
