Grew up in Buffalo, NY and played baseball and graduated (BA-Finance) at Division II, Mercyhurst University (Erie, PA). Was named an NCAA Div II All-American in 1995 and played two summers in the Cape Cod Collegiate League. Was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in 1996 and played three minor league seasons. Named the Pioneer League MVP in 1996 and the First Diamondbacks Minor League Player-of-the-Year in 1996. Has coached baseball at various levels over 20 years. Married to Michelle, 21 years, has a son Caleb, who is a Senior at VC and plays on the baseball team. Daughter is Caroline - a 10th grader at VCS. This is his fourth year coaching at Valley Christian.
